over the last 3 years in the visual arts i have gone from an absolute beginner to something approaching a rudimentary competence in my (now) field.

since then, i have dedicated myself to be best positioned to use the skills i am continuing to learn to serve my collaborators as best as i can

initially playing around with conducting interviews about nothing, helping my friends with their music, clothing brands, skating clips and anything else i managed to convince someone to let me film and edit, i have now found myself working with emerging and established artists locally and internationally (!)

i never went to uni / college for this, i had no direct mentors and today, unbelievably, i find myself knee deep in one project or the next, with every day bringing the potential for exciting new collaborators or extraordinary opportunities.

i am not telling you this to gloat - this is simply my story

however, my story is still not finished - in fact it has barely even started

the entire reason i began this journey was to learn a new skill, to find a way to express myself and above all - to inspire people in the ways that i had been inspired by my role models

i am eternally grateful for where i am now - and i will continue to serve my clientele in the best way i can - BUT - this is not all i am here to accomplish

over these (almost) 4 years i have worked compulsively and feverishly to generate an audience around my own art and i feel as though i have only just now discovered something drawing closer to what you may call my own personal style.

on my birthday in september of 2024 i made the promise to myself to consistently upload documentary style vlogs centering around my life and experiences, which are now (after years) only beginning to be interesting

in each of these videos i aim to imbue a centralising message as well as document the real, raw experiences that shaped the sentiments discussed throughout the videos.

i am now sharing with the world some of the most personally impactful moments from life as i know it to currently be

there are slight stylistic variations, but the aim of these videos is to document sometimes in retelling, and sometimes as a fly on the wall, the highs and lows of my personal journey. whilst watching, you, the viewer are now apart of the art and the experience that created the artwork

this i believe is how i will participate in revolutionising the world of visual storytelling

by annihilating almost everything outside the real and raw experience of my own life for as long as i can manage (truman show-esque), i can and will inspire alike, the individuals already impacting the world, and those with the volition to.

in this way i hope to aid in rearing an entirely new genre of creatives and a new avenue in which to express oneself

this new genre of film making can be used to influence the world via the real stories of truly impactful individuals (both known and yet to be discovered) for means of both expression and activism simultaneously.

stories will no longer be told - they will be shown.

therefore, any bias and distortion present in their retelling will be avoided by default. think mainstream news. think falsified historical documents.

this, aided by the ever-upgrading landscape of AI technology and the forthcoming prevalence of augmented and virtual reality devices will make what i am currently doing look as rudimentary as the prototypes for the first phones or laptops, however, hopefully just as important.
